Camilla is a character and full of personality for sure! She needs someone who is around and likes to give her attention as she LOVES to interact with her humans! She plays fetch with small plastic balls with bells in them, loves to “find” things in boxes, etc. Camilla is constantly near her foster mom; following her around or sitting on the edge of the couch. She will also greet and rub on the legs of visitors and will seek a bit of attention. Camilla will lay on her foster mom while she’s sleeping, but she is very light, so she barely notices. Sometimes she’s on her foster mom when she wakes up…guessing that’s her hint she’s waiting for breakfast…lol.
Camilla is very curious and smart. She’s a great learner…if she’s doing something she shouldn’t be, all you have to do is say her name (in a serious tone) and she will stop.
She is not a cuddle cat, does not like to be held, but is still sweet. She has the softest fur and loves a good back and neck rub and don’t forget under her chin! It’s just her personality, but when she’s had enough, she’ll swish her tail and show you with her eyes/ears that she’s had enough attention…if you don’t stop, she will nip you (not a hard bite) or swat at you. If you say “be gentle” or “be nice” she’ll stop…it’s just her way of communicating.
She is the perfect cat for a one pet family. She is (or thinks she is) the Queen of the house. She has shown aggression towards other cat and dogs, so she needs to be a solo animal.
She does best with eating a non-grain cat food. The vet thinks she may have a allergy which causes her to lick and scratch her lower back and tail. Her foster mom also recommends a high-sided litter box.
She’ll need a little time to transition, like most adult cats. Welcome her with open arms, love and security and you’ll make an instant friend. She deserves a loving family who will treat her like the little queen she thinks she is!
Camilla’s estimated date of birth is 6/17/14. Her adoption fee of $120.00 includes her vet exam, rabies vaccination, FVRCP vaccination, FIV & Feline Leukemia testing (neg), routine deworming, microchip and spay.
