his is Heidi; she’s very bright eyed, but not bushy tailed unless something startles her! She’s rambunctious in a particularly cute way, playful, curious and quite sweet as well. Her favorite things in life (in order) are: spring toys, mousey toys, staring out the back door at critters, stealing dried cod treats from the dog’s treat jar, tackling her beleaguered foster sister, trying to find the toys she lost, and petulantly asking for more wet cat food. She is spritely quick, bouncy, and definitely needs a home with a lot of stimulation - preferably in the form of another young feline-friendly cat.
Heidi got her name because she spent her first 2 weeks hiding in her foster mom's basement - neither hide nor hair to be seen. By 4 weeks in she was purring in her arms and by 4 months she had taken over the household. Recently she has finally become more confident around strangers although she’s not a “walk right up and rub your leg type.” And, she’s more comfortable when her foster mom is around. She will probably take over your house too in the most endearing way possible, but you’ll need to give her some time to get comfortable. If you're the patient type, she's worth the wait! Markings-wise she’s sleek and exotic looking (she is not actually an exotic cat!) with dark swirls and stripes on a pretty gray background. Note that she lives with a 65lb dog and they’ve always been fine with each other - she even tries to sneak a cuddle here and there. If your dog is friendly with cats, she should be fine with them. Heidi's estimated age is about 6 months, and her adoption fee of $185 includes: Vet exam, Feleuk/FIV test, FVRCP (distemper combo) vaccinations, rabies vaccination, routine dewormings, flea/tick control, microchip and spay. She is completely vetted and ready to go! |
