Another Kentucky transplant, Lainey is a beautiful and delightful lab mix, approximately 1 year old and weighing in at about 50 lbs. She is the most kind-hearted and good-natured dog, taking everything in stride with an easygoing manner. She absolutely adores all people. She is gentle, calm, and well mannered. Lainey enjoys the company of other dogs, and ignores cats. She is learning how to play with toys (we don’t think she ever got the chance to do that before!) and is loving every minute of it!
While Lainey loves to be included in everything, she is learning to entertain herself and be independent. While the crate isn’t her favorite place, she will go in it when her foster mom asks and sleeps all night in her crate. She’s pretty reliable with pottying outside but has a few accidents in her foster home. Then again, as we write this, she’s only been there for a week. So she’s learning. She loves car rides and is now great on leash walks after just a little training. We don’t think Lainey was ever obedience trained, so her foster mom is working on commands. She is making great progress and is eager to learn. Lainey lives with other dogs and cats in her foster home, shrugging off swipes from the cats and even lets the other dogs steal her bones. It isn’t in her nature to get upset over trivial things! Lainey is just an all-around great dog who is looking to be an important part of someone’s life. Lainey's adoption fee of $425 includes: Heartworm test, DAPPL+C (combo) vaccination, Bordetella vaccination, Rabies vaccination, flea/tick preventative, deworming, heartworm preventative, microchip and spay. |
