Liam (aka Orion) has been on quite a journey for such a small kitten. Liam was removed from his feral mother and named by a good samaritan who then brought him to a local animal hospital. It was there that the man realized how much effort it takes to care for such a young kitten and he gave Liam up. The hospital staff cared greatly for Liam and Liam went to a temporary home with one of the veterinarians where he was nursed and loved by her two kids. They fondly added a surname, Liam Limabean. Liam learned not only to accept humans but he now greets every person entering the door, he loves playing with any size balls, and he even gives high fives. When mature enough Liam became part of the Adopt-A-Pet program and was added to a caring foster home with 3 other kittens of similar age all named after stellar constellations (hence he was given the name Orion). Liam is playful, outgoing, and intelligent. He has always been very healthy. He eats canned kitten food with enthusiasm, he doesn't like dry food. Liam would make a great addition to any home, although he definitely loves kids. He has not been tried with dogs, but is young enough that he should adjust to a gentle dog. Please consider giving Liam and/or one of his new siblings a loving and fun lifetime home!
Behaviorally and socially, it’s best to adopt kittens in pairs, or into a home with a compatible playful cat. Kittens really need a feline playmate in their forever home…and then they can get to play, and snuggle while you're not home, wrestle with each other instead of with your ankles, and grow up with an always-available companion. Bored cats can become destructive cats. If you are only interested in adopting a single kitten, and you’re home most of the day, and able to spend interactive time with a kitten, we may consider adopting out a single kitten. We usually prefer that they be 4 months or older. But each application will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Many of our kitten litters may also be able to be mixed ‘n matched to make a pair if they are not particularly bonded with a sibling. Each foster home knows the kittens' personalities best, and we follow their recommendations for single placements or mix/matching. Liam/Orion's estimated date of birth is 5-1-22. His adoption fee of $195 includes: vet exam, Feleuk/FIV test, FVRCP (distemper combo) vaccination, routine deworming, microchip and neuter. |
