Let us introduce you to a sweet, wonderful, little guy named Pepper, who is sure to melt your heart. After his owner passed away, he landed in Adopt-A-Pet's lap and he is now looking for a new person or family to love him and spend the second half of his life with. He's adjusted very well to his new foster home. He's a very independent pup lying in his cushy flat bed, chewing a bone, or on his throne. (The arm of a couch on a couple of pillows.)
Pepper's favorite thing is to cuddle. Whether sitting in your lap or lying on top of you in bed, he knows that by cuddling he gets back, butt & possibly tummy rubs. But, he's one unhappy camper when being left alone. So, for now, at least, until he gains some security, he's crated when home alone. We do know that his prior home had another small dog, so Pepper will be fine with a canine companion, and maybe he would be more comfortable having a housemate rather than being left alone. We don't know a lot more about his history, but we are assuming that his prior owner was a homebody. He is housebroken, but was not obedience trained. His foster home is working with him on some of the basic commands and he is learning. He is not wild or out of control; he just never learned the basics. He is not a big yapper, he just wants to be with you and be loved. Pepper is an approaching senior, estimated to be at least 8 years old. Unfortunately, he did not come to us with prior vet records, but our vet has given him a good exam and pronounced him healthy. His teeth are in decent shape for a dog of this breed and age (which usually have notoriously bad teeth), so it looks like someone did take good care of him. We believe he is a Chihuahua mix with maybe some terrier thrown in, shorthaired, with radar ears that will land an airplane in an emergency! He's just a little tyke, weighing in at about 13 pounds. If you're a kind, loving, gentle person looking for a kind, loving, gentle companion who just loves the simple things in life, look no further than Pepper, a charming soul that will steal your heart. Pepper's adoption fee of $175 includes: vet exam, DAPP (distemper combo) vaccination, Rabies vaccination, Heartworm test, flea/tick control, deworming, microchip and neuter. |
